Airline strike is over

SAS Sverige to operate according to ordinary timetable from Wednesday, May 30.The parties signed a new collective agreement for Scandinavian Airlines Sverige’s cabin employees just after midnight. The agreement will apply form March 1, 2007 through April 30, 2010. The agreement is in line with the level applicable in the Swedish labor market, that is, 10.3 percent over 38 months.

Accordingly, the Swedish Salaried Employees’ Union’s strike ends immediately and Scandinavian Airlines Sverige will resume all traffic effective Wednesday, May 30, 2007.

“I am pleased and relieved that we can take to the air again. We have reached agreement with the Salaried Employees’ Union regarding a new collective agreement and will focus all of our energy on restarting operations. As of Wednesday, May 30, we will once again be operating in accordance with our ordinary timetable,” says Anders Ehrling, President of Scandinavian Airlines Sverige.
