Eivind Roald new Sales & Marketing head at SAS

Former Hewlett Packard Norway’s CEO, Eivind Roald, will become the new head of Sales & Marketing of SAS Scandinavian Airlines. Roald will join SAS’ group management team, which will now be complete following last September’s restructure that took place in conjunction with the launch of SAS’ new strategy 4Excellence.In Eivind Roald, SAS has found a strong sales leader to add to its group management team. Besides seven years at HP, Roald also has a background at Accenture.

“I’m pleased to announce that we will with Eivind Roald now have a complete and strong group management team in place, ready to take SAS forward,” says Rickard Gustafson, CEO, Scandinavian Airlines.

“Eivind is a strong manager of change and sales. He is also highly strategic and has a constant focus on achieving results. Furthermore, he is a very enthusiastic person who I am convinced will further contribute to the continued development of SAS and someone who will seize new opportunities for the company,” says Gustafson.

Eivind Roald will be the Norwegian addition to the Scandinavian management team that also comprise a number of Danes (Henriette Fenger Ellekrog, HR & Communication, and Flemming Jensen, Operations) and Swedes (Gustafson; CFO Göran Jansson; the new head of Commercial, Joakim Landholm; Benny Zakrisson, Executive Vice President, Infrastructure; and head of Legal, Mats Lönnkvist).
