EXERCISE: Statement on Accident EU123 Routed Ronneby - Stockholm

Scandinavian Airlines can confirm that 93 passengers and 6 crew were on board its flight EU123, which was involved in an accident at 10.20 hrs local time today.

The aircraft, a Boeing 737-600, was en route from Ronneby to Stockholm when the accident occurred during landing.

Information about possible casualties is not yet available, however, SAS is doing everything possible to help passengers and next-of-kin and to assist the Swedish authorities at this difficult time. A team of specially-trained SAS personnel has been established to provide assistance at the scene of the accident.

The names of the passengers and crew on board will not be released until the next-of-kin have been notified.

A press conference will be held today at SAS Head office, Frösundavik, Stockholm at 15.00 hrs with SAS President and CEO Mats Jansson and Scandinavian Airlines Sverige CEO Anders Ehrling.
