SAS first airline to offer Internet and complementary IP telephony in lounges

SAS has become the first airline in the world to offer travelers the opportunity to place complementary telephone calls via IP telephony.SAS has long provided access to the Internet via PCs in all of the company’s lounges and was also the first airline in the world to offer wireless Internet connections in all of its lounges.

As part of the renewal of the company’s IT equipment, SAS and its partners Sidewalk Express are now taking the next step forward. This involves providing access to high-speed Internet connections, wide-screen displays and also the opportunity to place telephone calls entirely free of charge by using IP telephony via Skype.
