The SAS Group
· Total passenger traffic (RPK) increased by 1,2% vs 2002.
· The SAS Group transported a total of 2,8 million passengers in
August 2003 vs 3,0 million in 2002, a decrease of 5,7%.
· Overall group passenger load factor increased by 0,3 p.u to 69,9%
for August 2003 vs. 2002.

Market trends and yield development
The traffic development in August indicates improving traffic and load
factors, but additional pressure on passenger yields. Overall passenger
load factor increased 0,3 p.u. and passenger traffic by 1,2% during
August.

Braathens traffic increased in August driven by healthy development on
international routes. Spanair’s traffic improved in August with load
factors up 1,6 p.u. vs. 2002.
