SAS offers Star Alliance’s new Brazil air pass

August 31, 2010 15:02

SAS and Star Alliance have launched the new Brazil air pass, which allows travel to 45 destinations in Brazil. The routing can be freely selected and needs to cover between four and nine flight coupons. Each city may be visited only once, although connecting flights through the same airport are permitted. The fare varies according to the number of coupons purchased and available booking class, and ranges from US$133 to US$212 per coupon (excluding fees, taxes and surcharges). The Brazil Airpass can be purchased by all non-Brazilian residents in conjunction with an international ticket issued by SAS, a fellow Star Alliance member carrier or a Star Alliance Round-the-World ticket.

In order to plan your voyage using the Brazil Airpass, please check out the fare calculator on the Star Alliance website at: http://www.staralliance.com/en/fares/regional-fares/brazil-airpass (http://www.staralliance.com/en/fares/regional-fares/brazil-airpass).

Once planning is completed, flights can be booked via any travel agent or any Star Alliance member carrier call centre. Additionally, the completed itinerary can be emailed directly to a Star Alliance member carrier for booking and ticketing.

The launch of the Brazil Airpass is a direct result of the recent joining of Brazilian airline TAM, which has allowed Star Alliance to increase its presence in South America. With the Brazil Airpass, Star Alliance now offers a total of 14 different fare products, ranging from the popular Round-the-World fare to circle fares and regional airpasses.
