New President of Widerøe

Lars Kobberstad has today been appointed the new President of Widerøe Flyveselskap, a subsidiary of the SAS Group.
Lars Kobberstad is currently the Chief Financial Officer and Deputy CEO of Widerøe, and is responsible for economic, financial and HR issues. He has been employed at the company since 1993, and served as finance manager and CFO until 2002 when he took office as Deputy CEO.

“I am delighted with the appointment of Lars Kobberstad. With his long experience at Widerøe, he has the right capabilities to further develop the company’s position in Norway and the existing positive cooperation with the SAS Group,” says Mats Jansson, Chairman of Widerøe and President and CEO of SAS.

Lars Kobberstad is 46 years old and holds a degree in business administration from the University of Augsburg in Germany. He has also studied management at IMD in Switzerland. He will take office on August 1.
