Update on Spanair flight JK 5022 - Press conference to be held tomorrow at 11.30

SAS Group regrets to confirm that its Spanair flight number JK 5022 with 166 passengers and six (6) crew en route from Madrid to Las Palmas was involved in an accident at Madrid Barajas Airport at 14:23 hours local time today.

SAS is doing everything possible to help passengers and next-of-kin. SAS Group Chief Executive Officer Mats Jansson is currently on a flight with a special assistance team to Madrid to offer his support.
