Group market trends, RASK and yield development

Traffic growth continued to be stable during November and the load factor was maintained at a high level. During October 2011, currency adjusted yield was down by 7.3% versus previous year and RASK was down 9.5%. For November 2011, (change vs last year), the yield is expected to continue to be negative but significantly better than for October. The change in RASK is also expected to be better than for October.

The response to market campaigns has been good and forward booking levels are still above last year’s level, but premium bookings are weaker. Overall, the market growth continues to be good, but remains unpredictable due to added capacity in certain markets, risk in the global economy and continued high jet fuel prices. This adds uncertainty to the yield and RASK outlook going forward.

Scandinavian Airlines is continuously improving its customer offering, that is also reflected in a clearly improved customer satisfaction that is the highest in eleven years.
