October 7, 2011 11:00

 • SAS Group’s traffic (RPK) increased by 5.4% during September and capacity (ASK) increased 5% vs same period.
• The passenger load factor increased by 0.3 p.u. in September to 74.6%.
• SAS Group carried 2.6 million passengers in September, up 4.7%.

Group market trends, RASK and yield development
During August 2011, currency adjusted RASK was up by 0.7% versus previous year and yield was down 2.2%. For September 2011, (change vs last year), underlying currency adjusted RASK and yield are expected to be weaker than 2010.

The market growth continues to be good, but remains unpredictable due to added capacity in certain markets, risk in the global economy and risk of continued high jet fuel prices. This is also adding uncertainty to the yield and RASK outlook going forward.

Scandinavian Airlines is continuously improving its customer offering, that is also reflected in a clearly improved customer satisfaction that is the highest in eleven years.
