SAS issues approx. SEK 2 billion of senior unsecured bonds

SAS (Scandinavian Airlines System Denmark –Norway- Sweden) has issued two senior unsecured bonds, one of MSEK 1300 and one of MEUR 75 for a 3,25 years term, maturing in June  2014. The total volume of the two bonds is approx SEK 2 billion. The MSEK 1300 bond has a coupon of 10,50% and the MEUR 75 a coupon of 9,65%.

“We are pleased to place almost 2 SEK billion in bonds in a challenging market.  The placement is part of a planned refinancing of excising debt and it will also create additional financial flexibility for the upcoming streamlining of the aircraft fleet, says Göran Jansson, CFO and Deputy CEO. 

SEB has acted as a sole advisor for the transactions.
