SAS once again ranked Europe’s most punctual airline
SAS has been named Europe’s most on-time airline in Cirium’s October On-Time Performance report, with 84.43 percent of flights arriving on schedule. This marks the fourth time in 2025 that SAS has achieved the top position in Europe.
The October results highlight a continued pattern of consistency and reliability across SAS’ operations, even through a period of increased traffic and shifting weather conditions in the Nordic region.
Earlier this year, SAS was also named the world’s most punctual airline on two occasions — a reflection of sustained operational precision over time.
– Reliability is at the heart of SAS and what our customers expect from us. Being recognized yet again for punctuality shows our consistency and that our teams deliver on this promise every day across our network. In Scandinavia, being on time is more than a metric – it reflects trust, respect, and keeping promises. We are very proud to represent Scandinavia by continuing to provide a consistent and dependable travel experience for our customers, says Anko van der Werff, President and CEO of SAS.
This recognition underscores SAS’ long-term commitment to operational quality and the Scandinavian values that define the airline’s approach — combining precision, care, and respect for customers’ time in every part of the journey. It also comes shortly after the launch of SAS’ new brand campaign, “We’re proud to serve the toughest crowd,” which celebrates the high expectations of Scandinavian travelers and the airline’s dedication to meeting them.
Copenhagen Airport continues to play a central role in SAS’ performance as the airline’s main hub and a key connection point for travelers across Scandinavia and beyond. The airport’s strategic position and coordinated operations contribute to maintaining a robust and predictable traffic flow, ensuring passengers reach their destinations on time despite the challenges of operating in one of Europe’s most weather-sensitive regions.
