Scandinavian Airlines is welcoming Norwegian medalists home from the Olympic Winter Games in Milano Cortina, with athletes returning on SAS flights from Italy to Norway in close coordination with the Norwegian Olympic and Paralympic Committee and Confederation of Sports and Olympiatoppen. SAS is proud to help bring the team home and celebrate their achievements together with the Norwegian public.

As a longstanding partner of the Norwegian Olympic and Paralympic Committee and Confederation of Sports, SAS supports athletes and support teams throughout the year, from international championships to domestic competitions across Norway. The collaboration is built on shared values of teamwork, preparation and reliability.

“We are proud of what the Norwegian team has achieved at the Olympic Games and grateful to have our longstanding partner SAS helping ensure our athletes return safely home from Italy,” says Tore Øvrebø, Chief of Mission at Olympiatoppen.

Supporting sports across Scandinavia reflects SAS’ role as a regional carrier, connecting the region with the world and bringing athletes home after major international events. Beyond transportation, SAS helps bring teams, supporters and communities together at moments that matter.

“Welcoming the athletes onboard in Milano Cortina is an important moment for us. Norway’s athletes have delivered performances that have inspired us all, and we are proud to bring them safely home. Our role as a Scandinavian airline and national carrier is to ensure safe and dependable travel when it matters most. From the moment athletes step onboard, we aim to deliver a welcoming Scandinavian travel experience all the way home”, says Paul Verhagen, EVP and Chief Commercial Officer at SAS.

SAS is proud once again to support Norwegian athletes as they return home from the Games, reflecting the close partnership built over many years.
