“SAS is an airline for frequent flyers and thus for the whole family. Every year, 90,000 unaccompanied children fly with us worldwide and we put tremendous emphasis on having this trust. We also offer discounted child fares on the majority of our flights. Naturally, we are extremely delighted that the much anticipated spin-off to the Cars movies is about airplanes and that we have this opportunity to partner with Disney Nordic in launching Planes in the Nordic countries,” says Stefan Hedelius, Vice President Strategy, Marketing and Concepts at SAS.
To maximize the momentum around Planes, Disney is teaming up with selected airlines around the world. The partnerships are organized through Disneymedia+, the integrated ad sales, promotions and marketing solutions arm of Disney Nordics.
“SAS is a great match for us in the Nordic countries. We share the ambition to use our products to create positive experiences for our consumers, we share the engagement in the family audience – and as the theme of our coming great animated movie is airplanes, this is the perfect set up for a successful Disneymedia+ collaboration,” says Anna Glanmark, Chief Marketing Officer, The Walt Disney Company Nordic.
Disney’s Planes is set to open in cinemas in Denmark on September 26th, Sweden and Finland on September 27thand in Norway on October 18th.
