Millions of unique travel tips with SAS

December 21, 2015 10:00

The SAS App is currently used by over 1.8 million people to book flights, check-in, select seats, see their EuroBonus points balance, and read magazines and newspapers, for example. The SAS App has been named best airline app on several occasions, most recently in October 2015 based on an independent analysis of about 50,000 user reviews.

The new Remap feature is an example of SAS’s continued work to develop innovative solutions that make life easier for its customers. Remap is the first digital platform where you can create unique and personalized travel guides with your own tips, and those of your friends combined on the one map.

“Many of our customers are highly experienced travelers and have a lot of travel tips they want to share with one another. At the same time, the most personal travel tips come from the people we know and those who know us best. So we are proud to offer a brand new digital solution which makes it quick and easy to share tips and experiences with friends, family and colleagues,” says Eivind Roald, Executive Vice President Commercial at SAS.

Under the “My maps” section of the SAS App, travelers can create their own map containing travel tips for destinations all over the world. The map can be shared with friends, via Facebook, text message, or e-mail, and they can also add their travel tips on the same map. The result is millions of customized travel guides, which travelers can share and edit. As the travel tips are shown on a map, it is also possible to get directions to each of the recommended places to visit, and things to do. See more here.

You can receive and view others travel guides without installing the SAS App, but for the best experience Remap should be opened via the SAS App. The SAS App and the new Remap feature are fully available to all EuroBonus members – which is more than 4,2 million people. If you are not already a member, you can join via the app, which is free to download from the App Store and Google Play.
