SAS EuroBonus named Airline Loyalty Program of the Year in Europe, Middle East and Africa

October 12, 2026 11:26

SAS EuroBonus has won two awards at the 2026 Frequent Traveler Awards: Airline Loyalty Program of the Year and Best Airline Elite Benefits in Europe, the Middle East and Africa (EMEA). The awards are based on votes from travelers, with more than three million ballots cast this year.

The awards recognize both the EuroBonus program as a whole and the benefits offered to its most frequent travelers. With more than nine million members, EuroBonus continues to evolve, offering opportunities to earn and use points on flights, hotels, everyday purchases and other services, alongside benefits for frequent travelers.

For EuroBonus Silver, Gold, and Diamond members, the program offers a range of premium travel benefits, including priority services, lounge access, additional baggage allowances, and greater flexibility throughout the journey.

“Being recognized by the travelers themselves makes these awards especially meaningful. Our members are at the heart of EuroBonus, and this recognition reflects the dedication of our colleagues who work every day to deliver value to them. We are proud of what we have achieved, and we will continue developing EuroBonus to offer even more benefits and opportunities for our members,” says Paul Verhagen, Chief Commercial Officer at SAS.

SkyTeam, the alliance SAS joined in 2024, was also recognized, receiving both Airline Alliance of the Year and Best Airline Alliance Member Benefits.

The winners were announced at the annual Frequent Traveler Awards ceremony in Chicago on October 7.
