Carina Malmgren Heander will become a new member of the SAS group management and Chief of Staff at SAS with responsibility for, amongst others, HR & Communications.

Carina Malmgren Heander has a broad background from large international retail and industrial companies such as Electrolux, Sandvik and ABB where she has had responsibility for both commercial projects, positions with accountability for earnings as well as leading HR positions.

Carina Malmgren Heander is currently senior Vice President for the Business Unit Electrolux Grand Cuisine. She will commence her position at SAS on 1 January 2015.

As previously announced, SAS’ current Executive Vice President, Human Resources and Communication Henriette Fenger Ellekrog, will leave SAS during October 2014.

“I’m pleased that we have filled the position so quickly. With Carina, we will get a leader who has a very broad business background combined with a solid HR experience. That will give her a unique platform as Chief of Staff with capacity to drive the continued changes that SAS will implement on the journey toward sustainable profitability”, says Rickard Gustafson, SAS President & CEO.

Carina Malmgren Heander is looking forward to be a part of SAS group management and says:

“SAS is a unique business in a challenging market and is important for Scandinavia. I really look forward to working together with all my new colleagues at SAS and to continue the transformation that SAS has commenced”.
